Go Better, Together
TripAdvisor assembled a list of the 50 most LGBTQ friendly destinations, Turizmus Online reports. Destinations from all over the globe were considered. The campaign is called Go Better, Together, and it is the biggest LGBTQA campaign TripAdvisor has ever done.
TripAdvisor partnered with the International LGBTQ+ Travel Association (IGLTA) to present 50 guides for LGBTQ+ welcoming destinations around the world, all created by LGBTQ+ influencers and travel experts with picks for amazing hotels, restaurants and things to do.
It is a huge honour that Budapest made it to these 50 special destinations. Check out the whole list here.
Thanks to the Go Better, Together campaign, Budapest now has its own LGBTQ TripAdvisor page, check it out here.
Pink Budapest
Budapest’s acknowledgement as a gay-friendly city is thanks to the Pink Budapest project, which is Budapest’s very first LGBTQ tourism campaign. Pink Budapest was created to attract LGBTQ tourists, and to promote Budapest as a touristic destination. The Pink Budapest website provides lots of useful information for LGBTQ visitors. Pink Budapest wanted to show how gay-friendly Budapest is.

The site collected the main attractions, and visitors can get an insight into Hungarian cuisine and culture. Besides, they have a platform to see all the places (bars, cafés, clubs) where Budapest’s LGBTQ community goes. PinkBudapest aims to show the vibrant gay life of the city to the many LGBTQ tourists who come here.
