Busy Budapest metro line will commute on a reduced route for multiple days in November

On the evenings of November 6 and 7, as well as 20 and 21, plus the weekends of the 8-9 and 22-23, the M2 metro will operate on a reduced route, running only between Örs vezér tere and Deák Ferenc tér due to track maintenance, the Budapest Transport Centre (BKK) informed MTI on Tuesday.
Half of the M2 metro line will close due to maintenance
Between Deák Ferenc tér and Déli pályaudvar, replacement buses marked M2 will be available. Additionally, trams 4 and 6 will run more frequently between Pest and Buda to ensure faster travel, the announcement stated.

Track maintenance is taking place on the M2 line between Kossuth Lajos tér and Deák Ferenc tér. The M2 replacement bus will cross Margit Bridge, stopping at both Kossuth Lajos tér and Batthyány tér. Passengers can board towards Déli pályaudvar at Alkotmány Street near Kossuth Lajos tér, and towards Deák Ferenc tér along Bajcsy-Zsilinszky Road. The latter stop can be accessed via trolleybuses 70 and 78, the Hungarian News Agency wrote.

Plan your journeys
At Batthyány tér, boarding the replacement bus towards Déli pályaudvar is possible at a temporary stop on Csalogány Street near the intersection with Fő Street, where buses 11 and 39 will also stop during the track closure. Buses heading towards Deák Ferenc tér will stop in front of the church at Batthyány tér.
For planning journeys, BKK recommends using the BudapestGO app, which calculates the optimal route to your destination based on real-time service information.
