Budapest submits second part of Olympic bid
Budapest (MTI) – Budapest has submitted the second part of its application to host the 2024 Olympic Summer Games to the International Olympic Committee, meeting the Friday deadline for turning in the document, Balázs Fürjes, the government commissioner for the bid, told MTI.
The several-hundred-page-long document was submitted in both English and French. It contains the various guarantees necessary for staging the Games, along with its legal and organisational aspects and the amended list of proposed venues for the event.
Budapest faces competition from Paris and Los Angeles to host the 2024 Olympics.
