Budapest Christmas Fair (27th November – 31st December)
The Budapest Christmas Fair is the best place if you want to buy something unique and original for your loved ones. Vörösmarty Square turns into a festive market place at the end of November.

Programs:
Visual Show called Building Mapping on the facade of the Gerbeaud Coffee House – the 3-3 minute long spectacular animated light shows with Christmas themes can be seen from 30th November till 23rd December every day at 17.00, 18.00, 19.00 and 20.00.
Programs on two stages every day from 17.00 till 20.00: folk, jazz, world music concerts, dance house performances entertain visitors to the fair. On weekend mornings puppet show will be on stage; sure to delight families with children.
Santa Claus makes a visit on 6th December at 15.00-16.00 – welcomes little ones and their parents in his cottage.
Varázskert (Magic Garden) playhouse for kids in the middle of the square. Entry is free.
Christmas shoping:
122 stalls offer high-quality products (selected and approved by special a jury of folk art experts). The special Budapest Christmas mug with new design in red and white colours.
Gastronomy:
Besides the usual fair delicacies (kürtös kalács, bread pizza baked in clay oven, roasted chestnut) you can taste traditional Hungarian Christmas dishes: stuffed cabbage in , roasted goose thigh, pork knuckle, grilled sausage and meat. You can also smell the scent of traditional honey cookies, mulled wine, cinnamon and fir from afar.
