Catch Santa’s trolleybus during the advent season in Budapest

Bkk.hu writes that Santa’s trolleybus will be circulating before Christmas, just like last year. Kids can travel together with Santa Claus on the decorated, environmentally friendly and accessible Solaris-Skoda trolleybus, and also give him presents that will be forwarded to families in need by Santa’s Factory.

On the press conference of the event, Vice-Mayor Alexandra Szalay-Bobrovinczky said that the initiation also aims to change people’s attitude towards public transportation. They shouldn’t regard it as a big, impersonal system, but feel some kind of connection, how they have something to do with it. She encouraged everyone to ride Santa’s trolley and take small toys with them to bring joy into the lives of kids in need.

The fundraising campaign is supported by popular Hungarian performers this year: Vera Tóth, Zoltán Czutor, András Kállay-Saunders, Laura Cserpes and the Group’n’Swing band. The celebrities helped out Santa and his elves on the trolley last week, but you can still catch the talented singer, András Kállay-Saunders on the 18^th of December between 15:25 and 16:30 on trolley 75, circulating between Santa’s Factory and Jászai Mari Square.

Besides the special ride, you can travel with Santa’s trolleybus every Monday on line 76, every Tuesday on line 77, every Wednesday on line 78, every Thursday on line 80A, every Friday on line 83 between 5 pm and 8 pm, while the trolley circulates on line 75 at the weekend between 10 am and 8 pm.
