A brutal concert year awaits Budapest: Here’s who’s coming to the Hungarian capital in 2026

Live Nation is bringing no fewer than 57 performers to Budapest in 2026, including Metallica, Eric Clapton, Sex Pistols feat. Frank Carter, Marilyn Manson, and Pitbull. The concert promoter showed no signs of slowing down last year either, bidding farewell to 2025 with 94 shows and countless unforgettable moments.

Live Nation delivered 94 events in 2025

According to an international survey conducted by Live Nation, 70% of the 40,000 respondents said they prefer concerts over any other form of entertainment. Hungarian music fans certainly had plenty of opportunities to immerse themselves in live music in 2025.

Last year, Live Nation organised 94 events across 11 venues in Budapest, ranging from intimate 50-capacity club shows to full-scale stadium concerts.

Imagine Dragons, Guns N’ Roses, and Robbie Williams in 2025

One of the highlights of the summer was undoubtedly Imagine Dragons’ double show at the Puskás Aréna, while Guns N’ Roses also played to a sold-out crowd at the same venue.

Iron Maiden kicked off their world tour at the Budapest Arena, Katy Perry soared above the audience at the MVM Dome on a giant butterfly, and Robbie Williams once again moved fans to tears.

Equally heart-warming were performances by Lionel Richie and Tom Jones, while Avenged Sevenfold gave their first-ever standalone concert in Hungary at Budapest Park.

Unforgettable moments from last year’s concerts

The magic of live music is irreplaceable. Even the most perfectly produced concert film cannot replicate the feeling of singing along with your favourite artists in the same space, sharing moments that are either flawless or beautifully imperfect.

Such moments included Alanis Morissette performing “Ironic” with her family, Cyndi Lauper’s first and last Budapest concert, and a touching scene when Katy Perry revealed the gender of a Hungarian couple’s unborn baby on stage.

Fans also celebrated Ganxsta Zolee and the Kartel’s 30th anniversary with the full original lineup, while the reformed Roxette surprised audiences with Tavaszi szél.

We saw Three Days Grace perform with two vocalists for the first time, watched Tommy Cash dance to “Danika House” at Dürer Kert, and swam through a sea of toilet paper at A Day To Remember’s American-style house party at Barba Negra.

What can we expect in 2026?

Iconic moments are guaranteed once again. In 2026, a long list of legendary performers will take the stage in Hungary.

Metallica will play two nights at the Puskás Aréna, each with different support acts and setlists, while Eric Clapton returns after 20 years and David Byrne after 18.

The Scorpions will celebrate their 60th anniversary in Budapest, F.O. System marks 40 years, Irigy Hónaljmirigy celebrates 35 years of laughter, and BEAT will bring the music of King Crimson to Budapest for the first time.

Meanwhile, A Perfect Circle and Christopher Cross will also perform in Hungary for the first time, and Pitbull’s debut Hungarian concert is sure to make bald (or cap-covered) heads shine across the crowd.

Iconic band anniversaries and major tours

The list continues with Deep Purple, Sting, Lenny Kravitz, and Papa Roach. Sex Pistols feat. Frank Carter will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the punk movement, while the band’s former frontman Johnny Rotten will also perform with Public Image Ltd.

Fortunately, Budapest is now a regular stop on major international tours. In 2026, fans can also look forward to concerts by grandson, Poppy, Marcus & Martinus, Pentatonix, 5 Seconds Of Summer, OneRepublic, IDLES, Mac DeMarco, Of Monsters and Men, Marilyn Manson, Joey Valence & Brae, and Men I Trust.

The first concert of the year: Architects

The year kicks off with Architects on 27 January, followed by Alter Bridge the next day. Marsh brings his atmospheric songs on 30 January, while Jonathan Roy will captivate audiences on 3 February.

Beyond music, Live Nation is also offering several non-musical events in 2026. The Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live™ Glow-N-Fire show will shake the MVM Dome three times, while Hungarian-born American comedian Zoltan Kaszas will bring his stand-up comedy to his homeland for the first time.

The Live Nation 2026 lineup is far from complete. The currently announced artists can be found on livenation.hu.
