For that matter, passengers using public transport in Budapest will have to wear a mask or cover their face with a scarf as of April 27, except minors aged under 6, the Budapest Public Transport Company (BKV) said on Friday.
The municipal regulation on masks will also apply to people while shopping or travelling in a taxi, the company said in a statement.
The obligation will, however, not apply to people who have a disease that physically prevents them from wearing a mask, and those having an asthma or a hard time breathing, it said.
