Corvinus University becomes first AMBA accredited business school in Hungary

Press release – Corvinus University of Budapest has received accreditation from renowned AMBA, the Association of MBAs. This international organisation is one of the world’s leading authorities on postgraduate business education. Fewer than 300 business schools in the world hold this accreditation, the first in Hungary being Corvinus.

Accreditation from AMBA represents the highest standard of achievement in postgraduate business education. Its rigorous assessment criteria ensure that only the highest-calibre programmes which demonstrate the best standards in curriculum, teaching and student interaction can obtain accreditation.

Upon receiving the accreditation, all current MBA students and MBA alumni of the Corvinus University of Budapest are invited to join AMBA’s global member community of more than 49,000 students in more than 150 countries.  Membership offers an opportunity for networking, thought leadership, career development, and a variety of other benefits.

At present Corvinus offers two executive MBAs and one full time MBA.

The members of AMBA’s accreditation panel have of course visited the university and in the light of their experience commended the practical relevance of teaching in the various programs. They also complimented the university on its strong and unique corporate and public connections. When students were spoken to by the panel, they praised the quality of organisational support they received during their MBA learning experience. Alumni also were seen to value the strong branding and positioning of Corvinus in the national and regional market of the university sector. The visiting panel represented senior management at AMBA-accredited business schools globally, that is, international experts.
