Orbán revealed the main goals of the government in parliament
Prime Minister Viktor Orbán on Monday briefed the parliamentary groups of the allied ruling Fidesz and Christian Democratic parties about the European economic crisis caused by the protracted war in Ukraine and the situation involving wartime inflation and energy prices, Orbán’s press chief said.
At the briefing taking place in Parliament, Orbán said the government will continue its work in protecting jobs, families and pensioners, and the utility price cap measures, Bertalan Havasi told MTI.
Police: 11,249 refugees arrive from Ukraine on Sunday
Fully 6,085 people crossed into Hungary directly from Ukraine on Sunday, while another 5,164 from Ukraine crossed from Romania, the national police headquarters (ORFK) said.
Police issued temporary residence permits valid for thirty days to 354 people, ORFK told MTI on Monday.
Holders of such permits must contact a local immigration office near their place of residence within thirty days to apply for permanent documents, it added.
Budapest police received 137 refugees, 59 children among them, arriving by train, ORFK said.
