Drone protection system to protect Hungarian public organisations
A new Hungarian government decree requires Hungarian public organisations to use a drone protection system. 4iG Plc, a minion of the Orbán government, has just founded a drone protection company. All data related to the deployment of the system will be encrypted for 30 years from the date of its creation.
New government decree
According to a government decree published in the Hungarian Gazette on Tuesday evening, certain central state administration bodies must set up and operate a system to protect against attacks by unmanned aircraft.
Accordingly, Kristóf Szalay-Bobrovniczky may designate the central state administration body or its specific installation or the company which will be obliged to do so. On the basis of his proposal, the cabinet will issue a decree on which facilities that do not fall under the above-mentioned categories must be protected, Népszava reports.
The agencies and companies concerned must set up, maintain and operate the drone protection system at their own expense.
It is also important that all data related to the deployment of the drone protection system is encrypted for 30 years from the date of its creation.
The Hungarian Defence Forces, the Military National Security Service or any law enforcement agency may be involved in the works.
A day before the government decree is published, the pro-government company 4iG will set up a drone defence technology company.
