Drunk driver collided with ambulance carrying pregnant woman in Budapest — VIDEO
A drunk driver collided with an ambulance on the road to the airport in Budapest on Monday morning.
According to the police, two cars and an ambulance car collided near the Határ Út Metro Station. In an information update, police said five people had been injured in the accident.
The on-board camera of the ambulance carrying a pregnant woman captured the incident. The National Ambulance Service posted a video on Facebook showing the moments of the accident. “Our skilled comrade did his best, but it was impossible to avoid this collision. Immediately, firefighters and several rescue units were alerted by the rescue management, who arrived on the scene within minutes. Five people were injured in the accident, including three of our comrades and the woman being transported. After on-site treatment, everyone was taken to hospital in stable condition by the ambulance,” they wrote on Facebook.
The police are investigating the circumstances of the accident. The road reopened for traffic short before noon, police said.
