Eagle Ottawa winds up EUR 30.5m investment

Budapest, October 13 (MTI) – The Hungarian unit of American automobile interior maker Eagle Ottawa finished construction work on a 17,000sqm production hall at its base in Szolnok (C Hungary), plant manager Zoltan Juhasz said on Tuesday.

The company invested 9.5 billion forints (EUR 30.5m) in the expansion. Production at the plant is set to start in the second half of November.

Headcount of Eagle Ottawa expanded from around 1,000 in February to around 1,900 in October and should reach 2,500 in the future. The company is planning to further increase its production capacity by 30 percent in 2016.

Eagle Ottawa Hungary had 4.9 billion forints net income last year on 37 billion forints revenue. In 2013 net income was 5.8 billion forints and revenue 26.8 billion forints.
