Economy minister attends Bosch project launch
Budapest (MTI) – Economy Minister Mihaly Varga attended the opening ceremony of a 2.2 billion forint development project by the German Bosch concern in northern Hungary’s Miskolc on Wednesday.
In his address at the ceremony, Varga said that Hungary’s economy will meet the government’s 2.5 percent GDP growth target. He said that the country’s good positions could be maintained if the government not only supported businesses but also took care of the business environment.
Concerning Bosch, Varga said that the company had become the third largest foreign company in Hungary in the past 20 years, and the fifth largest foreign employer. The Bosch Group’s “commitment to Hungary will contribute to increasing the number of jobs and the value of investments, and to improving the economy’s competitiveness”.
