How much do food and drinks cost at Sziget? Brace yourself for brutal prices!

Change language:

The 2025 Sziget Festival officially kicked off on 6 August, and as has become tradition, fun on Budapest’s Óbuda Island doesn’t come cheap. With more than 100,000 visitors expected, the event isn’t just about the concerts and entertainment: it’s also becoming known for its food and drink prices, which are sometimes just as shocking as the performers’ shows. (Note: Below, you will find the prices in Hungarian forints: for euros, divide the numbers by 400.)

Draft beers for HUF 1,730, cocktails up to HUF 3,500

Even those just dropping by for a quick beer between sets better come with full wallets: a pint of draft Dreher Gold runs HUF 1,730, while a canned version costs 1,930. Non-alcoholic options aren’t much cheaper—half a litre of mineral water is priced at 1,090, with sodas and iced teas going for 1,390. For a caffeine fix, festivalgoers will pay 1,300 for an espresso and 2,400 for an iced coffee, according to Pénzcentrum.

Stronger drinks come with stronger price tags: a long drink—like a gin and tonic or Bacardi and cola—costs between HUF 3,300 and 3,500. A glass of wine goes for 850, and an Aperol Spritz is a steep HUF 3,990. Shots of vodka or rum range from HUF 2,390 to 4,690. You’ll have to pay HUF 400 for the reusable cup.

Gourmet street food at premium prices

The street food selection is extensive, offering everything from classic burgers and vegan pad thai to Slovak-style baked flatbreads. But the prices are far above Budapest’s average dining costs.

A slice of pizza costs HUF 2,690, a smash burger goes for 3,990, and a standard cheeseburger is HUF 4,200. Opting for the towering “Texas Bill” burger will set you back a whopping HUF 12,000. A side of fries with any of these adds another HUF 1,500.

A gyro in pita bread is priced at HUF 4,200, a BBQ rib platter goes for HUF 5,990, and the BBQ beef plate costs HUF 6,990. A grilled sausage combo with fries and coleslaw will cost 4,990, while a serving of fried cheese with fries runs at 3,990. Even vegan options like falafel plates and Greek-inspired dishes hover around the HUF 4,200 mark.
