In a regional comparison, average household electricity price was EUR 16.4 per 100 kWh in Poland, EUR 18.8 per 100 kWh in Slovakia and EUR 38.4 per 100 kWh in Czechia.

And we must fight to keep it that way. The globalist-socialist cabal and its fellow travelers are working overtime to make energy unaffordable to the common man and woman.
Hungarian households are being subsidized by the government for their cost of electricity and gas. Just look at the lead article about the collapse of MAV due to extreme cost of electricity. MAV is paying more than three times the household rate of electricity. It’s the same for business across Hungary. That high cost of electricity and gas is an input cost of everything a business sells and is part of what gives Hungary the highest inflation rate in Europe. There have been business closures due to the high cost of electricity and gas charged to them. If you lose your job you can still thank the government for your lower electricity bill but you won’t have any money to pay it. The other negative side of subsidizing household electricity and gas prices is less incentive to conservation. The Orban government should instead give consumers rebates that they can choose to spend on energy or lower consumption and use the funds for other purposes. Subsidization is economically a failed policy.
