Father murdered his teen daughters in Aszód – PHOTO, VIDEO

Police found two dead bodies in one of the homes of an apartment building in Aszód. According to the evidence, both were victims of a crime. Read below for more details on the crime.

Police officers rushed to the apartment building with sirens blaring following a report on 26 May, Thursday evening. The report states that two dead bodies were lying in one of the apartments. Upon entering the apartment, detectives immediately determined that murder had been committed. This is why they immediately cordoned off the area, reports Index.

Neighbouring residents retreated to their homes. Cordons closed off the house. This way, not even curious people could get close to the scene of the crime. The Criminal Investigation Department of the Pest County Police Headquarters has launched criminal proceedings on the suspicion of manslaughter. The Pest County Police carried out an on-site inspection.

Later, the detectives discovered the horrifying truth behind the murders. Blikk says a father had ended the lives of his two young daughters. After committing the horrendous crimes, the man attempted to take his own life as well.

Details behind the murder

Currently, the 46-year-old man is wanted by the police. The Pest County Police is still investigating the crime of manslaughter of more than one person. According to the source, the victims are believed to be 14 and 16-year-old siblings who the police had been looking for for days. The girls’ mother was desperate to find her children. She reported their disappearance.

Based on a call from a citizen, patrol officers arrived last night at an apartment in an apartment building in Aszod where the caller noticed a strange odour coming from the building. With the assistance of firefighters, the patrol officers entered the dark apartment where they found two dead bodies. A 14-year-old girl was lying on the bed in one bedroom and a 16-year-old girl in the other.
According to the details of the investigation, the two children arrived from their Heves County residence to visit their father living in Aszód on 20 May 2022.

The perpetrator

The father – most likely on the night of 20 to 21 May 2022 – killed his daughters in their sleep. He then attempted suicide by stepping in front of a passing locomotive near the settlement of Adács in Heves County. An ambulance helicopter took the man, whose identity was unknown at the time, to the hospital in a life-threatening condition. He is currently in no condition to be interrogated, and the police are holding him in custody.

The Criminal Investigation Department of the Pest County Police Headquarters is conducting further proceedings with the involvement of experts due to the well-founded suspicion of the crime of manslaughter of several people.
