Festival of Colours: triumph of good over evil
The programme began with the arrival and welcoming of guests, followed by an introduction highlighting the significance of Holi as one of India’s most joyful and widely celebrated festivals. Holi symbolizes the arrival of spring, the triumph of good over evil, and the renewal of hope, happiness, and human connections.

The celebrations formally commenced with an opening address by H.E. Mr. Anshuman Gaur, Ambassador of India to Hungary and Bosnia and Herzegovina, who welcomed the gathering and spoke about the cultural significance of the festival and its spirit of unity and friendship.
Special Holi snacks, joyful atmosphere
The cultural segment of the programme featured dance performances by the ASCC’s dance teacher and students, presenting artistic expressions inspired by the spirit of Holi. A lively Holi medley, featuring a vibrant fusion of classical, folk, and Bollywood dance traditions, reflected the diverse ways in which Holi is celebrated across India. The performance captured the festive energy of the festival through music, rhythm, and expressive dance movements.

Following the performances, the dance floor was opened to the audience, inviting guests to join in the festive spirit. The celebrations then continued in the open area of the Embassy premises, where guests participated in the traditional playing of colors, accompanied by music and dance. Guests also enjoyed special Holi snacks, adding to the joyful atmosphere of the festival.

The event highlighted the role of cultural festivals in bringing communities together and strengthening cultural ties between India and Hungary, while sharing the vibrant traditions of India with a diverse international audience.
