In January, the first hotel in Hungary that has a direct connection to the airport’s terminals was opened. It is named ibis Styles Budapest Airport Hotel, according to Turizmus Online.
The first hotel that has a direct connection to the airport opened recently. Ibis Styles Budapest Airport Hotel was developed by a Hungarian investor company, Wing Ltd. It was constructed in the place of an outer parking lot (which is planned to be replaced anyway) near terminal 2. The plans were executed by Market Építő Ltd. The hotel has five floors with 145 rooms in total, and the whole building extends upon 5200 square meters. The entire building was built in modern industrial style, thanks to Aspectus Architect, László Szerdahelyi and József Pesti.

Wing Ltd.’s chairman Noah Steinberg stated during the inauguration ceremony that there are only a few airports in the world without any hotels nearby. Liszt Ferenc Airport used to be one of them,
but this flaw was corrected, which is a huge step forward for the Hungarian tourism sector.
His vice chairman János Gerő added that this service fills the gaps. Moreover, it serves multiple purposes, as the new hotel is a multifunctional structure. The building was completed by the deadline.

Gergely Kollin, who is the Hungarian operative director of AccorHotels — the company running this new hotel as well — emphasised how proud their company is to operate the first airport hotel in Hungary. The hotel represents their Styles brand, which provides significant freedom for its units.
