Floating corpse found at Budapest’s popular Danube beach
There are only two public Danube beaches in Budapest, one at the Kopaszi Dam, in the southern region of the capital, while the other is in the North, in the 3rd district. Entrance to the Római plázs in Óbuda is free, while tickets to the Sho Beach near the Kopaszi Dam cost HUF 3,200 (EUR 8.28) on weekdays and HUF 4,200 (EUR 10.8) at the weekend for adults. And that is where the floating corpse was spotted days ago.

According to Blikk, a Hungarian tabloid, Danube police took out the body of a man from the river on 4 August at the Kopaszi Dam, close to the Sho Beach. The 11th district police said they found the corpse around 9:50 AM. The deceased was 176-180 cm tall, had brown hair, wore a black coat and grey T-shirt with blue jeans. Police could not yet identify him. However, they believe he was the individual who jumped into the river from the Margaret Bridge on 1 August.
