Mysterious disappearance: foreign national last seen in Hungary – updated

A foreign man has gone missing in Hungary once again. Karel Šmíd was last seen in Tatabánya, near the Tesco supermarket. He does not speak Hungarian and can only communicate in Czech. His family is currently conducting an intensive search to locate him. Authorities are urging anyone who may have seen him to make contact using the details below. We updated our article!
Foreign national missing
“We have been searching for my uncle, Karel Šmíd, since Friday evening (12 September). He left on Friday morning to visit his sister, but he never arrived. His phone is not ringing,” wrote Jitka Nemčeková, the niece of the missing man, in a message posted late last night.
No food or medication, last sighted in Tatabánya
“When we last spoke to him on Friday evening, he was in Hungary and was supposed to wait for us in Tatabánya, near Tesco. However, we did not find him there. At this moment, he appears to be disoriented and communicates only in Czech. He has poor hearing and has no food, drink or medication with him.
He was travelling in a silver Hyundai i30 with the registration 1BP 5568. Karel is listed in the register of wanted persons. If anyone has any information that could help in the search, please call 112 or send me a message,” she added.
