Fundraising – Help the Hungarian parents to save their baby’s life
The baby was born and seemed to be healthy, however, a couple of days after he came into the world, he was diagnosed with an extremely dangerous disease, Szeretlekmagyarorszag.hu reveals.
His parents realized that their five-month-old son moves less than he should, so they brought their son to different therapies. During an examination, it turned out that the little boy is suffering in the so-called SMA type 1. This is an extremely rare and dangerous disease, which attacks pith and wastes it, causing irreversible damages. Experiences show that babies who get this disease do not tend to live more than one year. However, the symptoms have not occurred yet, so doctors say that Ábris might have gained one more year to live.
This is why time urges them. The disease seemed to be incurable, but a cure in the United States might give the parents and their baby some hope. During the operation, a special medicine is injected into the pith. The medical procedure is still not spread in Europe, so the baby’s life might be able to be saved only overseas. However, the family needs a huge amount of money.
As Szeretelkmagyarorszag.hu writes, the treatment costs $750 for one year, which is an incredibly high price for a Hungarian family, but there is no other hope. Both Hungarians and foreigners have already contributed to collect the money, and, soon, a foundation will also be established.
Please help the family and do not let the disease win over Ábris. You can help via their Facebook site or their fundraising website.
