Four Hungarian women stole fully-packed shopping carts at least 8 times – video

Police officers from Szentendre caught the women who stole a fully-packed trolley in Vác. The gang stole goods from the shops of the neighbouring settlements many times from May on, and authorities were able to catch them only at the end of July.

According to 24, they operated professionally since they divided the different elements of the “task” among each other. For example, one of them drove, one opened the sliding doors, while two of them collected the products they finally tried to steal. They started in Szentendre in a grocery store in mid-May. Two of them entered the shop and collected goods worth HUF 53 thousand (EUR 160), including mostly food, like ham, salami, and sausages. They did not pay a pfennig for the products but walked out with the help of a third woman who opened the sliding doors from the outside.

Then they hurried to their car where they packed everything into the trunk and got away. They stopped at a shop in Dunakeszi where they acquired goods worth HUF 83 thousand (EUR 240) and tried to escape again, but a security guard prevented it. So, they left everything behind, jumped into their car, and drove away immediately.

Since surveillance cameras recorded the events, they helped police officers during the investigation process. Thanks to that, police caught three women in Vác: two 21-year-old twin sisters and their 44-year-old mother. The next day, authorities took a 33-year-old man into custody who helped the gang by driving their car, and they interrogated a 28-year-old woman. All of them admitted to what they did and added that they committed such crimes not only in Dunakeszi and Szentendre but also in 6 further settlements.
