Tourists are flocking to Hungary in the summer to visit the vibrant city of Budapest. Although public transport is famously efficient in the city centre, it is worth checking out the picturesque scooter and bicycle routes that crisscross Budapest, touching the most famous landmarks. 

Must-visit Heroes’ Square & City Park

One of the best e-scooter routes is found around the City Park and Heroes’ Square. Here you can hop on your e-scooter or bike and enjoy an active sightseeing tour. During the ride, you can take a view of the historic museums of Budapest, such as the Museum of Fine Arts or the Hall of Art. If you ran out of breath while pedalling, take a break at Heroes’ Square and explore the Memorial Stone of Heroes.

Ride an e-scooter along the Danube

If you want to see all the famous sights within one tour, we recommend the following route: Erzsébet Square – Saint Stephen’s Basilica – Szabadság Square – Parliament – Panorama of Buda on the river bank – Chain Bridge. You can ride along the Danube River while admiring the beautiful panorama of Buda and Pest. In addition, the magnificent Hungarian Parliament is also included in the itinerary and so is the breathtaking Chain Bridge.

Pedal through the illustrious Andrássy Avenue

You kick off your e-scooter or bicycle tour at St. Stephen’s Basilica, which is located in the heart of Budapest. Ride along Andrássy Avenue and take a glance at the Hungarian State Opera House and the House of Terror on the way. This postcard-worthy route will pass by stunning Neo-renaissance mansions and a number of popular souvenir shops, where you can buy some famous Hungaricums.
