Speaker of the Hungarian Parliament also nominated Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize

Speaker of Parliament László Kövér has joined the US House speaker and the Israeli Knesset speaker in nominating US President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize.

Trump deserves Nobel Peace Prize

In a letter to members of the Nobel Committee seen by MTI, the three leaders said their nomination marked the first time parliamentary speakers from different parts of the world have united to propose a single leader for the award, praising Trump for his commitment to peace.

“Throughout his years of public service, President Trump has been a champion of peace, unwavering in his commitment to advancing dialogue, promoting diplomacy, and modeling principled leadership on the world stage,” it said.

The letter highlighted Trump’s dedication to dialogue, diplomacy, and principled leadership, citing achievements such as a 20-point peace plan for Gaza, the Abraham Accords, the ceasefire between India and Pakistan, a truce and peace agreement between Thailand and Cambodia, reconciliation between the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Rwanda, a peace treaty between Azerbaijan and Armenia, economic normalisation between Serbia and Kosovo, and easing tensions between Egypt and Ethiopia.
