As the first Sunday of Advent unfolded, Miskolc’s Christmas light tram made its much-anticipated appearance, captivating the locals and visitors alike. While the people of Miskolc have always regarded the light tram with admiration, this year’s spectacle has left an indelible mark, with onlookers attesting to its unparalleled fascination.

A European favourite for the seventh time

The praise for Miskolc’s light tram continues to pour in, solidifying its status as Europe’s most beautifully decorated train. MHD86.cz transport magazine, the authoritative voice in such matters, announced Miskolc as the winner for the seventh consecutive time. This triumph speaks volumes about the city’s commitment to creating a holiday masterpiece on wheels.

Stiff competition and unwavering victory

Competing against twenty-eight trams from eight countries, Miskolc faced stiff competition in the quest for the title. However, the city’s festive tram emerged victorious once again, overshadowing contenders from Belgium, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria, Poland, Germany and Croatia. Pilsen, coming in second, and Olomouc securing the third spot, bore witness to Miskolc’s unyielding dominance.
