The most frequently stolen car brands in Hungary

The police has published the statistics about stolen cars in the first half year. According to origo.hu, a surprising brand also made it into the top 20.

Based on the data published by the police, much less cars were stolen in the first half of this year than last year. While 2414 cars were stolen in 2015, the police was only informed about 835 stealings in the first six months of 2016.

The brand that came out the worst of the stealings is Ford (128), followed by Volkswagen (91) and Opel (80). Suzuki (77) fell back to the fourth place passing Toyota (69).

The last but one is the iconic Lada with seven stolen cars. Out of the German premium brands, BMW and Audi owners had to face some danger, while Mercedes is “only” in the last place of the list.
