The ancient karst region of Csárda-mountain (Bakony, Lake Balaton) is an outstanding and beautiful location of Hungary where every nature lover should organise a trip at least once.
Sokszínű Vidék reported that the natural wonder close to the borders of Úrkút (village, Veszprém County) has been a protected area since 1951. Under the supervision of the Balaton-Felvidéki National Park, the so-called Hungarian Jurrasic Park is a remarkable location in Hungary, not just for the nation but the entire world. In 2012, the site became the part of Europe’s Geo Parks, and its reputation has increased even more.

The area full of forests and green areas was once a private mine for Hungarian workers.
Turista Magazin reported that after the mine was closed the area became a protected area and the part of the famous blue trail in Hungary. During the summer seasons the vast rocks, mountain legs and the plants give us the impression of walking in a jungle which is quite an exciting experience for tourists. Visitors can admire the natural wonders of the area, which are approximately 100 million years old, but the material of the rocks and mountains date back to 190 million years.
