Why does the Orbán cabinet privatise Hungarian manors? All documents must be revealed

The opposition Democratic Coalition (DK) has won a suit against the construction ministry for access to documents submitted in a tender for the privatisation of manors.

At a press conference on Saturday, DK MP László Sebián-Petrovszki said the government had decided to “give away our national treasures” in the privatisation, adding that the construction ministry had refused a request to release the documents submitted in the tender.

Under the ruling, which may be appealed, DK will gain access to all of the documents.
