Heviz to host intl health-tourism trade fair
Budapest, June 5 (MTI) – One of Europe’s largest health-tourism trade fairs will take place in October in the thermal lake resort of Heviz, in central Hungary, the organisers told MTI on Friday.
Visitors are expected to come from various points around the world, from North America all the way to the Gulf states on October 1-3, for what will be the seventh Meeting of the Spas of Central Europe (SPACE), which includes exhibition conferences, hotel visits, social programmes and various presentations.
The fair’s founder, Iztok Altbauer, chairman of the Slovenian Spa Association, said the event is a reflection of the fact that health tourism is based on increasing demand. The developed bathing culture and traditions of Central European region is the backdrop for professionals to learn about the latest trends and current issues in the spa wellness market, he added.
