How much do Hungarians condemn the Ukrainian oil transit ban – survey
Fully 69 percent of respondents in a recent Nezopont survey “finds it outrageous that Ukraine seeks to restrict oil transits to Hungary and Slovakia”, while 77 percent said they looked to Brussels to mediate between the parties, the Nezopont Institute told MTI on Monday.
Twenty-two percent of respondents, however, said that the Ukrainian ban was acceptable.
Concerning details of the survey results, Nezopont said 47 percent of supporters of the opposition Democratic Coalition and Tisza Party criticised the Ukrainian move.
Concerning proposals under which the Hungarian government could restrict power supplies to Ukraine in response to the oil ban, 47 percent of respondents said they would support such a move, while 42 percent said the opposite.
The survey was conducted between July 29-31, by asking a representative sample of 1,000 adults by phone.

So for Hungarians it is “outrageous” for Ukraine to cut off Lukoil supplies to Hungary but there is no problem for their government to veto EU military assistance to Ukraine that they need for their survival from Russian attack. Cut off all the oil to these “outrageously” selfish Hungarians.

Normally, allies do not condemn each other. One of the good things in politics that you have choices. Larry and Jose, you both support Ukraine, the majority of Hungarians do not. Hungarians had to have a good reason why deny Ukraine support. It could be oppression of ethnic minorities.
Hungarians have the right not to support a war. Anytime Hungary went to war, Hungarians lost big. The best thing for Ukraine and Russia to have a peace agreement. As long as the EU and US supply weapons to Ukraine it will never happen.
The amazing fact is both EU, and US want to waste all the money financing a foreign war with nothing to gain in the end. Hungarians made the right choice. It is time to end the melee.
