Huge heat record could be broken in Hungary on Friday

Despite a recent cooling spell in Hungary, summer is expected to make a swift return, possibly with another record-breaking heatwave.
No precipitation is expected in most parts of Hungary on Friday. The dry weather in most regions will be accompanied by plenty of sunshine and warm temperatures.  In the southern areas, temperatures could reach up to 30 degrees.
A warm air mass of African origin will arrive with strong, in some parts of the Transdanubian region gusty, southerly winds, As a result, we should brace ourselves for temperatures ranging from 21 to 24 degrees in the north-northeast and 25 to 30 degrees in other areas during the afternoon, as reported by 24.hu.
The previous highest recorded temperature for 20 October was 26.9 degrees Celsius in 2019. This could be broken by 3-4 degrees this Friday. After a record warm Friday, temperatures will ease by Saturday, but 21-22 degrees is still surprisingly warm for late October in Hungary.
