Hungarian animated movie competes for the Oscar – Trailer HERE!
Iván Kamarás has posted on his Facebook page that Milorad Krstic’s new movie is nominated for the Oscars. The new movie is titled Ruben Brandt, Collector, and Iván Kamarás have a share in the news because he dubbed the protagonist’s voice. Some people consider this film as the successor of the reputed Macskafogó (‘Cat catcher’)
Kamarás recently informed his followers that the movie in which he dubbed Ruben’s voice was nominated in the category of the Best Animated Feature Film for next year’s Oscars.
The other competitors are movies such as Hotel Transylvania 3 and the Incredibles 2.
Ruben Brandt, the Collector was created by Slovenian artist, Milorad Krstic, who currently lives in Budapest.
The artist was inspired by one of the exhibitions of the Museum of Local Folklore and the idea of the movie and the screenplay soon followed.
Three years of work went into the film,
an international team was working on the animation and both a Hungarian and an English dub was made in order to be able to present the movie abroad.
Although the movie is not yet in cinemas, but from the trailer, we can get a glimpse into the adventures of Ruben and his gang.
There are a number of successful movies in the Hungarian scene this year!
