Hungarian mineral water to get Hungaricum status

Budapest, October 7 (MTI) – The Hungaricum alliance signed a cooperation agreement with the national spa association on Wednesday with a view to gaining Hungaricum status for Hungary’s mineral waters.

The alliance’s president, Imre Pesti, said Hungary has an abundance of national treasures, and the organisation’s task is to collect and manage these. Hungary is a country of spas and Budapest is a city of spas which offers unique tourism, he added.

Head of the spa association Gyula Czegledi said the agreement represented a milestone.
