All employees working in airplane cabins with Hungarian discount airline Wizz Air are expected to be vaccinated against the coronavirus by December 1, the airline said on Wednesday.
In specific instances, the vaccine can be replaced with regular antibody and PCR tests, the statement said. The measure is designed to
ensure the health and safety of passengers and staff,
as well as uninterrupted service, the statement said. Wizz Air concluded the 2020-2021 financial year with 576 million euros in the red, against a 281 million euro profit in 2019.
Meanwhile, as we reported before, the Hungarian low-fare carrier announced in August 20 that they would hire 800 more flight attendants by year-end in its biggest international recruitment campaign so far. Wizz Air is organising full-day recruitment events in several European countries in August and September.
In Hungary, Wizz Air is inviting potential candidates to apply in Budapest, Debrecen and Győr. Wizz Air plans to triple the
size of its fleet to 500 aircraft
in the coming ten years.
