Hungarian woman found dead in Jersey after being missing for days
Zsuzsanna Besenyei, a 37-year-old Hungarian woman was found dead on Le Pulec beach on 16 May. She has already been missing for days. A man was arrested on suspicion of murder, according to British journal Mirror.
Her blue Ford Fiesta was parking near La Haul: the car was found four days after she vanished. Two days later the owner of the car was washed up in Jersey, unfortunately dead. She was living on the island for eight years by the time of the incident.
The attempt to identify the cause of death on 18 May initially failed. After a while, the police announced that they find the circumstances of the case suspicious and they investigate murder.
As a result of the investigation, a 54-year-old man – who has known Besenyei earlier – was arrested.
Police are appealing for witnesses, suggesting that there might be “a potential of any other parties to be involved”. Police confirmed that they are working on the case by involving forensic, search, passive data, house-to-house and interviews.
According to Detective Superintendent Stewart Gull, the main question is: where was Miss Besenyei and her blue Ford Fiesta between 10 May and 14 May?
Family Liaison Officers have also been appointed, including a Hungarian speaker, in order to support the family of the deceased back in Hungary.
