Hungarian diplomacy is in daily contact with the local authorities through the Maltese Honorary Consulate in the case of the 27-year-old Hungarian woman raped in Malta, blikk.hu told.
“Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó personally monitors the developments. We are ready to give help to the Hungarian victim, but she has not claimed any so far”

As blikk.hu wrote, the 27-year-old Hungarian woman reported at the Maltese police that she was raped by a Libyan asylum seeker. the 26-year-old suspect was interrogated, but he did not admit that violence had occurred. Salem Elaoud was taken into custody.
Péter Szijjártó announced on Monday: he does not accept the behavior of the Maltese authorities. He said that the Ministry demands the immediate investigation of the case from the Maltese authorities and asks for information as soon as possible.
