Budapest, April 3 (MTI) – Hungary is the guest of honour at the international tourism fair of Moldova which opened in Chisinau on Thursday and features more than 100 exhibitors on 2,000 square metres, the economy ministry said.
The Hungarian tourism agency held seminars on the opening day to highlight the country’s thermal waters and spa tourism facilities.
Deputy state secretary in charge of tourism Adam Ruszinko who participated in the event said that Hungary’s thermal waters, towns, festivals, Budapest’s “ruin pubs” and bustling night life can fulfil a wide range of demands. Last year 9.5 million guests spent 24.2 million nights at Hungarian hotels and other accommodations, he added.
Ruszinko held bilateral talks on health tourism with head of the Moldova tourism agency Nicolae Platon and with department heads of the city council health department.
