Hungary left out of NATO-linked military drills in Greenland

Hungary will not take part in a forthcoming military exercise in Greenland, as the Hungarian Defence Forces were not invited to participate, the Ministry of Defence has confirmed.
What will happen to Greenland? And what will be Europe’s answer to the US’s steps?
The drills come at a time of heightened geopolitical tension, following controversial remarks by former US president Donald Trump about the possible forceful annexation of the strategically important Arctic island, as reported by HVG.
Several NATO member states have announced that they will deploy troops to Greenland, an autonomous territory belonging to Denmark, which is also a member of the alliance. The move is widely seen as a show of unity and deterrence, amid concerns sparked by Trump’s repeated statements suggesting that the United States should take control of the island for national security reasons.
Trump has argued that Greenland must be placed under American control to prevent Russia or China from gaining influence in the Arctic region. His comments have alarmed European leaders and have reportedly strained the long-standing security partnership between Europe and the United States, raising questions about trust and stability within NATO.

While Europe and, until Trump came to power, America are being FREELY invaded by third-world dross, the Euros are sending troops to “defend” Greenland from America!
This “alliance” is cooked.
As you rightly imply, Dear Micheal – the alliance is not there.
Yet, just like a bad marriage in it’s last stage it is dancing odd inscrutable jigs.
President Trump had the right instinct, but, always looking for a deal, he has allowed himself to be manoeuvered out of it.
Oh, well.
As to Hungary ‘not being included’ : it is a tacit acknowledgment that their policies are too sane to be involved in ongoing NATO lunacy.
As to Hungary not being a part of it,
Trump did a TACO and backed down in Davos – period. He made a face saving announcement of a “deal” with NATO secretary general Rutte. Trump explicitly ruled out the use of force to take Greenland. Hungary’s non-participation in exercises in Greenland is of no real consequence.
