Hungary listed among the most peaceful countries of the world
To commemorate the International Day of Peace (21st of September), The Daily Telegraph listed the 15 most peaceful countries of the world. We are thrilled to report that Hungary is featured on the list ?
The list was put together based on the 2017 Global Peace Index, which rates nations using three indices: the level of safety and security in society, the extent of domestic and international conflict, and the degree of militarisation.
Hungary is listed in the 15th place, which means that we’ve stepped forward by four places since last year. This is also the greatest progress among the top 15 countries.
This landlocked country is most popular for its vibrant capital Budapest, with its historic grand cafés and ornate baths.
The journalist of Telegraph Travel added that Budapest’s art nouveau splendours are sure to dazzle all romantic souls.
While the old-fashioned cafés and refined baths politely sweep you off your feet, the traces of Goulash communism and the city’s fascinating modern history add spice.
