Hungary Receives Observer Status In Turkish Speaking Countries’ Parlt Assembly
(MTI) – Hungary has been granted observer status in the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkish Speaking Countries TURKPA, it was announced at the organisation’s plenary session in Baku on Friday.
The session of Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan was attended by a Hungarian delegation led by Sandor Lezsak, a deputy speaker of parliament.
Hungary’s participation is a great manifestation of the political commitment towards the Turkish-speaking world, Lezsak said in his address.
“Our people are bound by a historic friendship rooted in a common past, and Hungary’s independent new politics is building on this friendship,” said Lezsak.
