Hungary trade surplus reaches EUR 505m in May
Budapest, July 9 (MTI) – Hungary’s trade surplus came to 504.7 million euros in May, a first reading of data released by the Central Statistical Office (KSH) on Thursday shows.
Exports climbed by 2.5 percent to 7.216 billion euros during the period. Imports edged down by 0.7 percent to 6.711 billion euros.
In January-May, the trade surplus reached 2.750 billion euros. Exports rose by 6.9 percent to 37.163 billion euros during the period. Imports increased by 5.1 percent to 33.674 billion euros, KSH said.
