Hungary urges ceasefire, peace talks in Ukraine
Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has arrived in Madrid where he will attend the two-day summit of NATO heads of state and government starting on Wednesday, his press chief said.
Bertalan Havasi said late on Tuesday that King of Spain Felipe VI had welcomed the leaders in Madrid at a gala dinner in the royal palace.
In line with Hungary’s position which Orban will represent at the NATO summit, efforts promoting peace must be supported instead of the escalation of war in Ukraine, Havasi said. Rapid ceasefire and peace talks represent the solution against the war inflation facing Europe and the economic crisis to result from it, he added.
