Hungary’s men move up two places in FIFA rankings

Hungary’s men’s national team is back in the world’s top 50 after moving up two places in the September edition of FIFA’s rankings list.
Since the last publication in August, Hueditionhave played two matches, a 1-0 loss away against Finland on the Nations League’s first matchday and a 2-1 home victory over Greece and it is these two results which have led to Hungary’s improved ranking of 49, up two from 51st position. Of their current Nations League rivals, Greece remain in 42nd, Finland imporve four places from 62 to 58 and Estonia fall from 94th to 98th in the world.
At the top of the list, Belgium have wiped out their two-point deficit on France and are now joint-top with this summer’s FIFA World Cup winners, the first time in the list’s 25-year history that two teams have shared top spot.
