Hungary’s most popular cave bath closed

Fortunately, the world-known cave bath of Miskolctapolca closed only temporarily because renovation works will start from Monday.

According to infostart.hu, the cave bath of Miskolctapolca is to be closed to the public between 8 and 25 January due to restoration works. However, on 27 January, they will welcome guests with night bathing. Furthermore, from 22 January, healthcare services will become accessible in the Aquaterápia facility.

In return, the bath offers a special program for their guests. Between 19 and 21 January, people can take part in unique tours and visit parts of the cave and some of its basins without water. Moreover, they will be able to visit places closed to guests.

Miskolctapolca Cave Bath plays an important role in the whole country’s tourism; it is one of Europe’s most famous spa complexes. The cave bath is not only important to tourists but also to the city, as the Cave bath of Miskolctapolca is one of the main attractions of Miskolc and the region.

The bath closed temporarily even in January 2023 due to renovation and restoration works.
