Industrial producer prices up 0.3 pc in July m/m
Budapest, August 31 (MTI) – Industrial producer prices edged up 0.3 percent in July from the same month a year earlier, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said on Monday.
Domestic prices fell 1.8 percent while exports prices rose by 1.5 percent.
In a month-on-month comparison, producer prices were down 0.7 percent as domestic prices edged down 0.5 percent and export prices inched down 0.7 percent.
Factory gate prices in the manufacturing sector were up an annual 0.7 percent. Prices of the transport equipment segment inched up 0.3 percent, and prices in the computer, electronic and optical products segment rose 5.0 percent. Prices in the food, beverages and tobacco segment fell 1.8 percent. Prices in the gas, electricity and steam supply segment were down 1.6 percent.
In a month-on-month comparison, producer prices in the manufacturing sector edged down 0.8 percent. Prices in the transport equipment segment fell 1.4 percent, and prices in the computer, electronic and optical products segment were down 0.6 percent. Prices in the food, beverages and tobacco segment edged up 0.2 percent. Prices in the gas, electricity and steam supply segment inched up 0.3 percent in a month.
In January-July, producer prices inched down 0.8 percent as domestic prices dropped 2.9 percent and export prices inched up 0.4 percent.
