International Farmer-Expo opens in Hungary
Minister of Agriculture István Nagy opened this year’s Farmer-Expo, an international fair of agricultural and food products, in Debrecen, in eastern Hungary, on Thursday.
The government is a “strong ally to the agricultural sector, farmers, food producers and universities, making every effort to assist all players in the sector,” the minister said in his address.
The government’s “determination and commitment” is reflected in its decision to provide 80 percent co-financing to community funding from the EU until 2027, Nagy said. He added that such high-scale national assistance was unprecedented in the EU.
