International superstars to rock the Hungarian City of Sunshine
The Szeged Youth Days (Szegedi Ifjúsági Napok), the most budget-friendly festival of Hungary, will rock the City of Sunshine between the 28th and 31st of August. Among others, the event brings you Clean Bandit, Alvaro Soler, and Afrojack.
Szeged is generally a good place to be at, but the summer period is especially vibrant with cultural programmes such as the Hungaricum Festival, the Szeged Open-Air Festival, and the SZIN (Szeged Youth Days).
The city gained back its “free royal city” title (used to be the official term for the most important cities in the Kingdom of Hungary) exactly 300 years ago, and to commemorate it all, the festival plans to surprise visitors with novelties and great discounts.
SZIN is actually the longest-running festival in Hungary, with a history of more than 50 years. It used to be the one and only festival where bands could perform without any censorship.
Coming back to the present, the first names that were revealed included the popular British electropop band, Clean Bandit, and the Latin macho, Alvaro Soler.
Moreover, the Tisza region also welcomes top DJ Afrojack, Thai techno queen Nakadia, newcomer Salvatore Ganacci, and a regular guest, Dubioza Kolektiv. Naturally, the representatives of the Hungarian pop-rock-hip-hop scene will not be missing either.
If you feel like finishing the summer with a cultural cavalcade, make sure to visit the Szeged Youth Days!
