Hungary joins the robotics revolution: The Unitree G1 is now available!

Change language:

Until now, humanoid robotics has mostly belonged to the world of futuristic ideas and experimental laboratories, but now it has reached a new milestone. Unitree Robotics’ latest development, the Unitree G1, is now available on the Hungarian market and is clearly opening a new era in the widespread use of humanoid robots.

The Unitree G1 is not just a concept or a unique prototype, but a robot that has been mass-produced and is available for anyone to buy. This technological leap opens up the possibility for humanoid robots to become real industrial and commercial players, moving beyond the experimental stage. According to Index, this robot is not just an evolution of existing humanoid technologies but represents a whole new level of mobility, sensing capabilities and autonomous operation. It can navigate its environment in a way that is very similar to human movement, while also featuring advanced artificial intelligence that allows it to continuously analyse its environment and perform tasks autonomously.

The Unitree G1 technology

According to INFUZE Robotics’s website, one of the key benefits of the G1 is its extreme mobility. It is able to move between complex obstacles, move steadily over uneven or slippery surfaces, and even run. But its arms and legs, like human limbs, can do even more: their range of motion is beyond human capabilities, allowing it to perform tasks that would be physically impossible for a human to perform. It is also equipped with advanced sensor technology, including 3D LiDAR and a depth camera. These tools enable it to accurately map and analyse its environment, which is essential for industrial, research and service applications.

Artificial intelligence affects not only the sensing and navigation capabilities but also the robot’s learning mechanism. G1 is constantly evolving with AI-based imitation and reinforcement learning methods, so it can adapt to different challenges more and more efficiently. Force sensors in its arms enable precision movements and fine manipulation, meaning it can perform complex operations that require the dexterity of human hands. Its hands are available in different configurations, either in three or five-finger versions, depending on the task you want to use it for.

Possibilities for practical application

The Unitree G1 can be revolutionary in many areas. In the field of industrial automation, it can perform a variety of manufacturing and logistics tasks, increasing productivity and reducing the workload on human labour. By automating repetitive tasks requiring precise movements, such as assembly or material handling, factories can significantly increase efficiency. It can also play a prominent role in the service sector, with its interactive and adaptive capabilities for customer service, hospitality and other assistant tasks. Thanks to its humanoid form, it can interact with people in a natural way, which can be particularly useful in places where personal interaction is essential.
