Jobbik: Corruption cases involving politicians should never lapse
Budapest, July 17 (MTI) – The radical nationalist Jobbik party has proposed an amendment to the penal code to ensure that corruption involving politicians will not lapse, the party’s spokesman said on Friday.
Adam Mirkoczki insisted that Hungary’s public life was more and more burdened with corruption; ruling Fidesz has not done anything to reverse that tendency, moreover, “it is in the forefront of graft”.
The amendment, if passed into law by parliament, should be applied retroactively for the past 25 years, Mirkoczki said.
