Lazar addresses Esterhazy park inauguration
Budapest, June 10 (MTI) – The government has so far spent a total 4 billion forints (EUR 12.8m) on renovating the Esterhazy chateau complex at Fertod, in western Hungary, cabinet chief Janos Lazar said on Wednesday.
Out of that total, 500 million forints have been spent on the chateaux’s gardens, Lazar said at the inauguration ceremony of the re-landscaped park.
In his address, Lazar expressed Hungary’s gratitude to the European Union for contributing to renovation projects.
Further projects concerning the chateau, such as renovation of its theatre, the water tower, the riding hall and other facilities will cost at least another 5 billion forints, Lazar said.
